CHEROKEE SCOUT RESERVATION
OUT LEAD. OUT SERVE. OUT ACHIEVE.

Twilight Activities

To enhance the experience that campers receive at summer camp, we offer several different programs during the evenings, Sunday through Wednesday and Friday. Program areas will be open for the Scouts to enjoy during this time. Twilight is a good time to go on hikes, spend time in camp relaxing, going to the Trading Post and Commissary, or going to the different program areas and enjoying the activities being offered.

Monday through Wednesday, Scouts have access to the swimming areas, boating, and the climbing tower. All program areas will offer some activity that the Scouts can participate in. These activities follow an open schedule. We ask that leaders accompany their Scouts to Twilight programs to assist with crowd control. Please note that for Scouts to participate in free climb, they must be 13 years old.

The Glacier and the Blob at the waterfront will be open during Twilight for Scouts and adults to enjoy. All participants
must follow the instructions of the lifeguards on duty and the Aquatics Director at all times.
The safety rules concerning the Glacier and Blob can be found in the “Health and Safety at Camp” section of this guide. These rules are to be followed at all times.

Each Monday & Tuesday evening, camp wide fun shooting is available on the rifle and archery ranges. On Wednesday, the shooting sports area will feature a Frontier Heritage Night. All of camp is invited to participate or observe. Scouts will get to make their own bullets, shoot black powder rifles, throw tomahawks and knives, and participate in blacksmithing.

The basketball, volleyball, horseshoe, disc golf, and soccer areas are always available in the evenings. Equipment is available for checkout at the Trading Post. The twilight schedule will be shared during the Sunday night Senior Patrol Leader and Scoutmaster meeting.

Availability of all Twilight areas and activities are subject to weather conditions.
